Winter Holidays

Spark Point knows the value of rest, so every year we give our staff the last week of the year off to spend with their loved ones. Check out some of the ways we spent our break!

Below you can see a beautiful gingerbread house made by Hannah’s (Senior Grant Writer) child Jaime, Bri Mondesir (Grant Writer) enjoying the holiday with friends, and an olive oil cake made by Maddy Atmore (Senior Grant Writer).

Planning Period

Every year, Spark Point takes the first two weeks in January to execute big picture thinking, strategize for our clients, and take time for internal learning and professional development sessions.  Some examples of what we accomplished during the Planning Period this year were an internal discussion on forming a professional development library and we had an internal discussion on how to help employees with disabilities thrive led by our DEI committee.

Job Postings

We are also seeking a Grant Writer to help assist our grant writing clients. This position will support clients with grant writing, reporting, cultivation of new funders, and stewardship of current funders. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a fast-paced working environment and who embodies the values of kindness, compassion, and equity. Strong candidates will also have 1-2 years of experience in a full-time grant writing position, but we recognize that strong writers from a variety of backgrounds may have the foundational skills needed to succeed in this role.
